Crystal Lake is excited to announce the signing of author John E. Schlimm.
John Schlimm is a Harvard-trained educator, multimedia artist, mental-health advocate, and international award-winning author of more than two-dozen books, spanning multiple genres. Also, an avid Gen-Z/Gen-Alpha, Arts, and community service advocate, during the past three years, John has been part of an award-winning collective—with Gen-Zers in the St. Marys Area High School’s Dutch Manufacturing program and the Community Education Center—that has created nearly 70,000 small pieces of advocacy art, including “The Smile Coin,” “The 988 Coin,” “The U.S. Flag Coin” for America250, and a forthcoming bullying-awareness backpack tag.
In addition to his debut Horror novellas, Last Chance to Salvation that will be released by Crystal Lake Publishing in 2027 and The Gravery that will be released by Slashic Horror Press in 2026, and his debut Horror novel Dead Clowns Pass that will be released by HellBound Books in 2026 and his debut Thriller novel The Viper that will be released by Red Adept Publishing in 2027, John’s short stories and multimedia works in the Horror genre have also been widely published.
Last Chance to Salvation is a two-part, fight-or-flight, survive-to-the-end, gut-wrenching, psychological-suspense thrill ride that first puts the reader in an old Jeep Grand Cherokee with college student Jordy Carson on the long, desolate Galaxy Highway when he suspects someone is hiding in the back, and then later at the campground with him and his friends when everyone’s worst slasher-TASTIC night terrors—INCLUDING YOURS!—will all come very true.
Welcome aboard John!
