Dinoverse is a fantasy series for kids that was popular in the late nineties. It was originally written by Scott Ciencin, and co-authored by his wife, Denise.

Unfortunately Scott passed away and now Denise and author Chris McAuley will be keeping the series alive with the next installment which will be published by Crystal Lake Kids.

The first installment will be released in October this year.

Dinoverse is book series about junior high students who get transported back in time and turned into dinosaurs. Bertram Phillips, the class brainiac, builds a science fair project called the M.I.N.D. Machine — Memory INterpreter Device. It malfunctions and sends him 67 million years into the past, trapped inside the body of an Ankylosaurus. Three other students come with him — the star football player in a T. rex, the beauty queen in a Leptoceratops, and a graffiti artist inside a Quetzalcoatlus. Together they have to put their differences aside and find a way home before they’re stuck in the prehistoric past forever. AgentQueryUNION LITERARY

Written by Scott Ciencin — praised by Science Fiction Review as one of today’s finest fantasy writers — the series blends fantasy and scientific fact, with slapstick humor, snappy dialogue, and fast-paced suspense. Dinophiles loved it for its detailed, realistic portrayals of prehistoric animals based on actual paleontological research.

Scott Ciencin was a New York Times bestselling novelist of 90+ books who lived with his wife and sometimes co-author Denise. — which is exactly why this Crystal Lake revival with Denise and Chris McAuley is so meaningful. It’s keeping the original vision alive while bringing it to a new generation.
