About the Author

Werner Schmidt is a South African author, coach, and musician, crafting stories and experiences where imagination meets lived reality. His path into fiction was anything but linear, beginning in accounting and finance before unfolding into leadership coaching, body-centered practice, and the creative and performing arts, guided by a range of master practitioners.

His body of work includes award-nominated poetry, a multilingual children’s play, and a magazine-featured novella. His debut Young Adult novel, Chelsea Glitter and The Graveyard on the Hill, weaves magical realism, horror, and fantasy into a luminous, emotionally grounded narrative.

Alongside his writing, Werner works with individuals and organizations to shape leadership, culture, and meaningful impact. He performs music and story, and continues to explore the dance between creativity, resilience, and everyday life.

He is currently working on his next novel and a second music album, Songs From My Morning Walk.
